Refund policy

Last updated 23 August 2026

If Umbra isn't what you expected, ask for your money back within 14 days and you'll get it. You don't have to explain why.

The 14-day refund

Any first subscription payment is fully refundable for 14 days. Email us from the address on your account and we will refund it. No form, no reason required.

We can be this relaxed about it because allowances reset daily rather than monthly, so the most anyone can draw before changing their mind is a day or two of usage. Trying it properly is the point.

Try it before you pay at all

Every new account gets $2 of credit for 14 days, on all six models including Opus. No card is required to get it. If the service is not going to work for you, that is designed to be where you find out — before any money changes hands.

Later renewals

After the first 14 days, renewals are not automatically refundable — but ask anyway if something went wrong. In particular:

Cancelling

Cancel any time from the dashboard. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for, and does not renew after that. We do not delete your keys or your usage history when you cancel — if you come back, everything is where you left it.

What is not refunded

How to ask

Email umbradevelopers1@gmail.com from the address on your account. Refunds go back to the original payment method through our payment provider, and normally land within five business days, depending on your bank.

Please ask us before opening a chargeback. A chargeback costs us a fee and takes weeks; asking takes a day and we are going to say yes anyway.

Statutory rights

Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law where you live. If local law gives you a longer cancellation window or a stronger remedy than this policy, that applies instead. Governed by the law of Manitoba, Canada, per the terms of service.
